The Tagescafé is run jointly by Student Services Erlangen-Nuremberg, FAU Family Service and the Evangelische Hochschule Nürnberg. Based at the daycare center MAXI in Nuremberg, the café offers students who are or who are soon to be parents a place to meet others and share their ideas and experiences.
The little guests can play to their heart’s content in a fully equipped daycare center with a large play park while parents can enjoy coffee and biscuits and chat to others in the same situation about coping with being a student and a parent at the same time. As a rule, a trained education expert is usually on hand to share their knowledge and advice with parents.
The idea is that students have a chance to discuss not only any questions they may have about bringing up children, but specifically also topics of relevance to students. External experts and speakers are therefore invited on a regular basis to attend the Tagescafé and share useful information with the guests or answer their questions.
Mothers and fathers to be are also very welcome.
