Café for students with children

The “Tagescafé” is run jointly by the Studierendenwerk Erlangen and the FAU Family Service. Based at the Regensburger Straße Campus in Nuremberg, it offers students who are or who are soon to be parents a place to meet others and share their ideas and experiences.

The little guests can have fun exploring a fully equipped play room while parents can enjoy coffee and biscuits and chat to others in the same situation about coping with being a student and a parent at the same time. As a rule, a trained education expert is usually on hand to share their knowledge and advice with parents.

The idea is that students have a chance to discuss not only any questions they may have about bringing up children, but specifically also topics of relevance to students. External experts and speakers are therefore invited on a regular basis to attend the Tagescafé and share useful information with the guests or answer their questions. In summer, the parents and children can enjoy a green, shady outdoor area with a play park.

Mothers and fathers to be are also very welcome.

Target group: Students with children (0-5 years)
