Pinguin
Emergency Programme „Pinguin“
The aim behind the Pinguin project is to provide rapid and flexible assistance if parents have to attend university events scheduled in the evening or outside the regular opening hours of their nursery, kindergarten or after-school club.
Meetings or conferences are sometimes arranged at short notice, meaning that childcare cannot be planned in advance. It can also be difficult to arrange childcare in the late afternoon or evening when attending a conference. Our Pinguin project is intended to provide rapid and straightforward assistance in cases such as these, making it easier for you to balance research, work and family commitments.
Childcare is provided by a team of trained and experienced care workers from DHB Netzwerk Haushalt, Ortsverein Erlangen e.V. The carers come into your home, play with the children, help with homework and, if required, prepare meals.
