Dear families,

during the Pentecost holidays, from 11 June to 21 June 2026, a holiday childcare program for schoolchildren will once again be offered in Erlangen. You can find all information about the FAU holiday childcare program during the Whitsun holidays on this page.

Details on registration

The registration period is published at the beginning of the year on the website advertising the holiday childcare. You can only register using your work email address (e.g. maria.mustermann@fau.de). We would also like to bring the registration documents for FAU holiday childcare to your attention. Please complete them and bring them with you on the first day.

Opening times and costs

In the Pentecost holidays, FAU holiday childcare is open during the week from 7 am to 4:30 pm. When registering, you must let us know if you intend bringing your child between 7 am and 7:30 am, using the box for comments in the registration portal.

You can register for a week at a time, either for:

  • Full-time childcare at a cost of €80/week (childcare available from 7 am to 4:30 pm)
  • Part-time childcare at a cost of €60/week (childcare available from 7 am to 2 pm).
  • You can also book a warm lunch for €17.50/week.
    You should give your child snacks and drinks for the day, packed safely in a small rucksack.
    On the days where we go for a longer trip, we would ask you to give your child a packed lunch, as we do not have our lunch in the University restaurant on these days.
  • Childcare without a warm lunch.

Prices vary for users from partner institutions.

Cancellation

Please let us know as soon as possible if your child is unable to attend the childcare you have booked. If your child is ill at the time the childcare starts, we will reimburse you your fees if you show us a doctor’s certificate. Cancellation for any other reason: Fees are reimbursed in full for any cancellation up to 7 days before the holidays start. After that, the fees will only be reimbursed if we can find someone to take your place. Do you have any more questions?
