Nürnberger Pentecost holidays (Pfingstferien) 2024

Dear families,

we are planning to offer childcare in Nuremberg for school children in the Pentecost holidays (Pfingstferien) 2024 from May 21 to May 31. This page gives you all the information you need to know about FAU holiday childcare during the Pentecost holidays.

Who can attend?

Holiday childcare for school children between the ages of 6 and 12.

Would you like to register?

Please use our online service to register!
Registration period: Monday April 15 to Friday April 19
You can only register using your work e-mail address (e.g. maria.mustermann@fau.de).

Please also note that you require the documents to register for FAU holiday childcare. Please be sure to fill them out and bring them with you on the first day that your child attends the holiday childcare.

The vacation offer in Nuremberg takes place with a group size of at least 10 registered children.

Opening hours/costs

Please note our new opening hours!

During the Pentecost holidays, FAU vacation childcare will be open daily from 07:00am to 4:30pm on working days.

If you would like to make use of the childcare hours between 7 a.m. and 7.30 a.m., please indicate this in the registration portal in the comments-section!

Registration is possible on a weekly basis for

• full-day care for 60 €/week (for childcare between 7:00am and 4:30pm every day) or for
• half-day care for 40 €/week (for childcare between 7:00am and 2pm every day).
• For 12,40 €/ week, you can book a warm lunch for your child. Please organize your child’s breakfast, snacks and drinks yourself and pack them securely in a small rucksack. On longer excursion days, we ask you to give your child an additional snack, as we do not go to the canteen on these days.

Prizes vary for users from partner institutions.

Reduced rates?

A reduced rate must be applied for in advance from the person responsible for organizing the childcare at the Family Service (pädagogische Leitung) and is possible in the following cases: Families with three children who are all looked after in the University childcare during the same week(s) do not have to pay the childcare costs for the third child (but lunch fees still apply).

If both parents are students, they can apply for a reduction in childcare costs of 10 € per week by showing their certificates of enrollment.

Cancellation

Please let us know as soon as possible if your child is unable to attend the childcare you have booked.

If your child is ill at the time the childcare starts, we will reimburse you your fees if you show us a doctor’s certificate.

Cancellation for any other reason: Fees are reimbursed in full for any cancellation up to 7 days before the holidays start. After that, the fees will only be reimbursed if we can find someone to take your place.
