summer holidays 2021 (02.08.-10.09.)

Dear families,

We are pleased to be able to offer the FAU holiday care service again for the 2021 summer holidays (02.08.-10.09.), adapted to the current framework conditions of infection and hygiene protection and subject to the incidence figures allowing it. All information on FAU holiday care can be found on this page. Please be sure to read our information on the FAU holiday care process during Corona Virus Sars-CoV-2.

Currently, children may only be cared for in FAU holiday care if they present a written or electronic, negative COVID-19 test certificate (PCR or POC antigen test) at the start of care and on subsequent days. This must not be older than 48 hours. It is valid on the day of testing and on the two following days.

No (self-)testing of children is possible at FAU holiday care. A test carried out at home is not sufficient for supervision.

For whom?

Holiday care during the 2021 summer holidays is offered for the age groups:

(primary) school children: children from grade 1 to grade 4 and preschool children who will start school in September 2021. Older school children up to the age of 12 can also participate.

Youth: older school children aged 11-14 years.

What?

The holiday groups run a leisure-oriented holiday programme. Please see our programme overview for more information:

In addition, your child will again have the opportunity to eat a warm lunch in the Studentenwerk refectories (Erlangen Süd, Erwin-Rommel-Str. 60 in 91058 Erlangen and Langemarckplatz 4 in the first week of the holidays).

Where?

Holiday care will take place during the 2020 summer holidays at the FAU location in Erlangen in groups of up to a maximum of 20 children/group.

From 02.08.-06.08. the younger school children will be looked after at the premises of the Studentenwerk at Langemarckplatz 4 in 91054 Erlangen or at Erwin-Rommel-Str. 51 a in 91058 Erlangen and from 09.08.-10.09. at the municipal business school Erlangen (W.i.R.), Artilleriestraße 25 in 91052 Erlangen. Care for older school children or youth will take place during the three holiday weeks 09.08.-27.08. at the FAU Sports Centre, Gebbertstraße 123b in 91058 Erlangen. We will post a signpost to the holiday care facilities with the entrances to the buildings as soon as possible. Registration (drop-off/pick-up) of children will take place daily at the signposted entrances.

Registration is possible from 05.07.-16.07.2021 with your service email address!

Opening hours/Costs

The FAU holiday care is open on weekdays from 7:30-16:30. Registration is possible weekly as a full-day booking €60 or as a half-day booking €40 (8:00-14:00).

For €2.80/day you have the option of booking a warm lunch. On longer excursion days, we ask you to give your child an additional snack, as we do not go to the refectory on these days. The childcare staff on site will also inform you about this. Separate fees apply for users of cooperating institutions.

Reduction

The application for a reduction of the childcare costs must be made in person with the responsible pedagogical management in advance of the measure and is possible in the following cases:

Families with three children who are cared for in the university holiday care during the same week(s) receive a waiver of the care costs for the third sibling (but not for lunch).

Parents who are double students can apply for a reduction of the childcare costs by 10 EUR per week in total upon presentation of their matriculation certificates.

Withdrawal

If your child is unable to attend the booked holiday care, please inform us immediately.

If your child is ill at the beginning of the event, we will refund the participation fees upon presentation of a medical certificate.

In case of cancellation for other reasons: up to 7 days before the start of the holiday, the participation fees will be refunded in full. After that, you will only be refunded the participation fees if the place can be filled again.
